You might wish to see Shirakogarov's work Psychomental
Complex of the Tungus. Another of his texts have maps
that attempt to explain movements of clans and tribes,
as well as differentiation evolving accordingly. This
is pre-capitalist. Also, see Ming Studies, V.24 on the
sprouts of capitalism in the Ming dynasty, as it
emerged post-feudalism.
