Subject: Events related to Bourdieu


The German Sociological Association will commemorate Bourdieu at its
biannual convention which takes place in Leipzig from Oct 7th to 11th.
Johannes Weiß and I are organizing a panel on Oct 10th 8:30 p.m. on the
topic "Die Öffentlichkeit der Soziologie" (Sociology's Public) which
will focus on Bourdieu's stance as a scholar with commitment.
