Thanks sal Probably the best place to start would be to read La Domination masculine by Bourdieu (an English translation undoubtedly exists). It's only about a hundred pages and should be, if I'm not mistaken, the most explicit application of Bourdieu's key concepts and theories to the problematic of gender and family.
