Subject: Bourdieu and Brian Stock

Hi everybody,

has anyone ever thought about the question whether Bourdieu's field
theory, especially regarding the political and literary field, and
Brian Stock's concept of the textual community are similar and can be
compared? Are Bourdieu's field and Stock's textual community
homologous regarding their structure? Can one argue that the textual
community is a part of the political and literary field?
And finally, yet most important: Are there articles or books around
concerning this aspect, preferably regarding Middle English texts?

Well, I hope somebody knows something and is out there!

Have a nice day,

Ulli
