in my previous message i wrote that Foucault's work can be most profitably
read in lieu of Deleuze's metaphysics and ontology. i forgot to add that
 this should be done at the expense of Heideggger and his supposed influence
on Foucault. No doubt the early Foucault was somewhat Heideggerian, but
from THE ARCHEAOLOGY OF KNOWLEDGE onward his work shuld be taken in
 conjunction with Deleuze's ontology, whcih focuses on matter, energy, and
power, with language and semiotics considered epiphenmenal to the serialization
of such primary phenomena.
