No doubt the early Foucault was somewhat Heideggerian, but from THE ARCHEAOLOGY OF KNOWLEDGE onward his work shuld be taken in conjunction with Deleuze's ontology, whcih focuses on matter, energy, and power, with language and semiotics considered epiphenmenal to the serialization of such primary phenomena. chris ------------------
