One other suggestion on this heading.  I haven't looked at the book to check
this, but I am almost sure that this also appears in Expressionism in Phil
osophy, especially since that latin is, I think, the way in which one refers to
Spinoza's joyful and painful affections...or if not that, to Leibniz's 
compossibility and incompossibility...in any case, it is certianly related to
these distinctions and it would make sense to check EiPh because they are
really important to Deleuze, and he discusses both Spinoza, and towards the
end of the book, Leibniz as well.
