Subject: Rosenberg's Essay

Rosenberg's essay on portals in Duchamp and Pynchon is not only
excellent, it is timely: one week after reading it, (I) noticed that
faces, icons, and what not had been painted on the church doors here at
library mall. The doors are semi-opaque in that one can see out, but not
in. Some other signs welcomed students for another school year. Another
sign offered by a campus christian organization: visit us and hear a
talk: "Journey into Freedom". It seems that christians too know about
the profound effect of the autumn cosmic bio-pulse that urges us to
introspection. Hilarious! Ron.
