From: Graham John Sharpe <gsharpe-AT-sfu.ca> Subject: Leibniz and The Book Date: Wed, 28 Feb 1996 16:03:56 -0800 (PST) dont want to interrupt the wonderful nomad thread, but am attempting to track some information. On p.31 of _The Fold_ Deleuze speaks of "the total book" as the dream of both Mallarme and Leibniz. while Mallarme's comments on the book were easy to trace i am having difficulty finding references to "the book" in Leibniz. anyone familiar with Leibniz? i've read thru _The Nomadology_ but have come up with little more than a mention of reading which Deleuze himself cites in note 9 on that same page. Any suggestions as to where to look would be most appreciated. am currently working on notions of "book theory" and "bookness" for a thesis on small press publications. _ATP_ of course offers some wonderfull approaches to "the book," but would like to see what else Leibniz has to say. graham sharpe ------------------
