Subject: Girard and scapegoating


Giving specific passages for readng in VIOLENCE AND THE SACRED and
mimesis won't convey Girard's grim reading of the dynamics of
scapegoating;  possibly, though, the chapter entitled "The Sacrificial
Crisis" on symmetry of tragic dialogue would provide a flavor of
the argument.
