Subject: Re: BwO Definition

Hi there,
I must admit to finding it quite amusing the trouble some of you D&Gers have
gone too so as not to define that current favourite term of theory the Body-
Without-Organs, and even those who do attempt a definition (I thought Adens
a helpful and unpretentious post) always add that the BwO is similar to the
God of Negative Theology in that it really can't be defined.
How useful a term is it then if everytime you use you must therefore need
to state what *you* mean by it. The whole thing reminds me of those heady days
of post-structuralist delirium when the word *deconstruction* was chucked
about as though it were a cure for cancer.
Anyway, I think the need to discuss the BwO is essential if we're to
suss out how useful this whole D&G thing is anyway.
Cheers SIMON
