Just to avoid misconceptions about what I posted to Karen, I sent a query
to the _SubStance_ editors regarding the *possibility* of undertaking what
would be a third special issue of the journal (not on Guattari alone, but
not neglecting him either). For very understandable reasons -- their not
wishing to displace essays already in the pipeline for publication and also
to honor other special issues in the works --, they have decided that such
an issue would not be advisable. It was while waiting to hear from them that
I contacted Karen, but before she could respond, I received word back.

The obvious other avenue would be to pursue a volume of essay with some
press, or even in electronic format. In the former case, I am unable to pursue
such a project actively before next year, but will remain in touch with
the different authors who so enthusiastically responded to the MLA special
session call. As for the latter, I don't have any electronic site queuing
up for this, and I'd understand if essayists preferred to have their text in
print rather than in pixels (certain evaluating committees, however much we
might not like to think in these terms, tend not to 'get it' when we reference
a cyber-journal on a document). In any event, I'm heartened by the energy of
developments in D, D&G and (to a lesser extent) G studies.
