Subject: Sokal thrice

(1) I haven't read it. Bad though it may be, is Sokal's article really
worse than most of the other stuff which gets published in academic
journals and books?

(2) If it fooled so many people, isn't the joke really on Sokal himself
(for trying to write a parody and succeeding only in writing bad
philosophy)? The fact that he claims it is a parody does not make it one. I
am glad to see people critiquing the content of his writing (which I
haven't read) and not just the silly fact that he claims it is a parody and
that it fooled people into thinking it was serious.

(3) Those last two comments were jokes. I didn't really mean them.
