"Most schizos I know would do almost anything to end their suffering."

Maybe you need to meet more schizos, because I know alot of people who have
been diagnosed with this, and fortunately, many of them have been intelligent
enought to see behind the scam. Obviously I am invoking schizophrenia as a
Concept, which is most appropriate, given how Laing and others have exposed it
as little else. But in terms of people who are suffering under this label, I
have never belittled the alienation and terror and discomfort this can
represent. However, this says nothing about the unconscious creativity and
rebellion which can be seen to take place in tandem with absolutely draconian
social expectations. And I think it's the Everyday Draconian Social
Expectations which one ought to be jousting against if one wants to help
alleviate a lot of suffering. When the unconscious irrupts, it's not always
pleasant, and can be nightmarish. This doesn't mean there isn't some level of
intentionality about it ...

If you want to have a serious discussion about schizophrenia, we can have one.
This condition has much more to do with trust issues, refusal of social games,
and a fractal psyche-strategy on the part of the unconscious than any
reductive biochemical theory ; obviously, there's alot of complexities here
that can't be summed up in a few paragraphs.
