This is what I wrote, vis a vis "seducing":

"My two impressions, no three: you see this as important, you
do, but for other reasons than I think, you're trying to seduce me
specifically (hehe). In any event..."

That was a joke. A joke, *hehe*, because of course there was nothing
whatsoever to indicate that your posts had anything to do with me
specifically or personally at all. Yet, I felt *personally* touched and
relieved to see *someone* posting on this horrendous situation. Seduce,
lest it need be said, had no more to do with sex (if that is what you are
implying) than, for example, saying that politicians are "in bed" means
sex, in the main.

I misrepresented myself in my recent response to your post, since I did
send you two very short posts, not one, which I now recall. I was just so
happy to see someone posting on Iraq, and as I recall, reading the
headings and seeing what the posts were about, I really felt like saying
something. I feel that intellectuals, if the term is tolerable, have been
too remiss in this, like most others.

The "don't shit on the left" strikes me as typical of the Left as it
stands in its spectacular irresponsibility, vidictiveness, tacit tolerance
for retribution (Iraq, US prisons), not that it isn't full of other
things, too. I have to hold, however, that the sites of progressivism have
been indicted already by Iraq and the US prisons. And what, one is not
allowed to criticize the left? But, of course, nothing would be more
worthy of critique. But, anyhow, you're deliberately starting fires, it
seems to me, and I really don't understand it.

You seem to throw "resent" around a bit much, IMO.
