Thomas, You wrote to Bruce Hagood, The defense against the fetishization or better yet, the > singularization of buttholes in my post is obviated in your choice of > words. This crystalised for me what I liked about your first post ( apart from its enjoyable ability to start a thread from a misreading of another threads title ) and that was its unlikely anti-fetishism. At first I was taken aback (fnaar fnaar) by its lurid reification but then realised that this materialisation of hole and rim was indeed a pragmatic response to vacunt aesthetisism. A taking hold of hole and a real enjoyment of the material. Penetrating stuff ( the active hole that is ). Yes... wandering, errant, affective holes with appetite ..reminds me of that William S. Burroughs talking arse routine.. the one where the arse keeps blabbing on: " Equal rights! Equal rights!" Keep it up yours p. p.s 'penetrating holes' is an odd description that has the ability to be read in two ways.. hmmm ... the hole penetrates and is penetrated. hmmm. food for thought.
