the danger of being pushed into the path of a NYC subway,
being asphyxiated by smoke in a "fireproof" highrise stairwell,
being perforated by informer-misled narcs, pols voting their
conscience in defiance of voter wishes, favorable odds
of getting tenure, finding a faithful loving mate, hair returning,
breasts naturally robust, mirrors flattering, minds sharpening 
with age, prejudice waning, mortal fear vanishing without
chemicals or blind faith.
