This isn't necessarily the case. Deepak Chopra raises these issues in Quantum
Healing. It isn't particularly helpful to someone who has cancer ; it's not as
if you can suddenly allow life to move through you better, but it still
doesn't make it a meaningless statement.

Y'know, it's wonderful how reactive people can be! I guess just because
someone's a guru or new age i should just dismiss all their ideas! Maybe they
should apply for an academic degree somewhere so I can take their ideas
seriously!!! That doesn't mean I believe them just cuz they're a guru, but
whether you're a proguru idiot or an antiguru idiot, one is still an idiot!
