Thank you for your insightful comments. I would add, why is it that people are
not content with the networking of the anecdotal? Why the great fetishization
for wholeness, representativeness, systematizing, coherency? Whence this great
fantasy? Are people simply too dazzled by the self-referentiality of the
signifier, the law of the father? Why then such great angst at the partial and
the eclectic? What are we to do with the Pretenders to Wholeness? Is it
necessary to lob off all of their heads? Or should we simply have a hearty
laugh? How loyal are the maps to the local? Here I am in the local ;
everything else is a map, an arbitrary construction, an aesthetic.
