Correct.  But in order to make this point stick, we must resist the
temptation to label "conservative" *any* criticism of/alternate takes
on radical speculation/schizoid voyages into the beyond, or any suggestion
that we consider our beliefs to be true (i.e. believe them).  (Not that
anyone on this list would do that, of course, but still.)
