Oh, I introduced the line (The jazz guy said, "If you has to ask, you
doesn't know", vis a vis the question, "what is jazz", I didn't mention
the question.) In any event: it is different from "one will never know",
which is typical of the hubristic atmosphere that makes far reaching
aspersions ("you will never know, you idiot"). No, just at a certain time,
if onehas to ask, one might not know.
