When capitalism introduces lack, such as in the recently introduced lack
at a local food kitchen, there is plenty of speculative potential: Empty
food pantry shelves during the most severe winter storm to hit the
region. The reason is that the distributors are on vacation. Rather than
a stand-in crew for ailementary tracts that do not take a vacation, the
system introduces lack, as big and bold as you please. When questioned
about it, the person in charge said that I should be "..thankful for all
of the other days the food gets served." Notice that this stock reply is
designed to trigger either resentement or guilt. Guilt if you are
stupid, resentement if you are a bit smarter than stupid. But if a panic
ever struck en force, grocery store shelves could be stripped bare in a
few hours. So, introduce lack and potentiate feelings of guilt(from the
more gullible) or feelings of resentement coupled to hunger. When
Cinggis Khan surrounded a Chinese city, the Khan's message to them was:
"Join us or eat your children." Jack-booted super-ego grocery cops are
installed strategically within the system.
