Hi Simon,

Maybe indeed there is not anybody out there, only wills without bodies!

You asked about Pure War. As far as I can ascertain it is still effectively out of print,
though AK distribution, who handle the publishers Semiotext(e) in the UK, had it in
their catalogue as reprinted last year. I had an order through Waterstones but it has
never arrived, and AK told me about a year ago that Semiotext(e) were
having 'problems' with reprinting it.

I did manage to borrow a copy through ILL (from the University of Essex). Its quite
useful in filling in the neo-Catholic background to some of his more obscure
pronouncements. I have only recently discovered that there seems to be something
of a recent tradition of Catholicist critique of technologism -Jacques Ellul's stuff is
stylistically and methodologically fairly distant from Virilio, but the underlying
precepts are similar.
Maybe you or someone else could fill in some more detail on this theological
dimension?
