Yes, Adrian--that's what I meant.  I'm looking for something along the
lines of the work on Chantal Akerman's early films which suggest 
the mise en scene of, say, _Jeanne Dielmann_ or _Je Tu Il Elle_, is in
some way feminist or feminine (not to say I agree or disagree with this
suggestion or the could-be essentialist implications of making such 
an assertion)...

I have been unable to find work which mentions these issues in depth.
