Dear Sirs,

Well, since there has been a reply to the list to discuss Paulo Coelho, I
take the opportunity to make some brief considerations, even though I know
this is not the topic of the list.
As a Brazilian, it sounds a bit strange to notice that someone has mentioned
Paulo Coelho as a person to be admired. Here, at least, even though he is
undoubtedly our main success - speaking in terms of numbers - as a writer
abroad, he is considered second class at most. His name is included among
the best sellers for years, but his books were never been considered good
literature. His books are ranked as either sel-help or esoteric.
Does anyone in this list consider his books as good stuff for a movie?
Sincerely,
Carla Carneiro
