I also heard that Jodie Foster disapproved of the book "Hannibal".  In
the book, Clarice Starling has an affair with Hannibal and also
converts to cannibalism.  She said she can't believe Clarice would
actually become someone like that.  The producers couldn't either,
apparently.  With the author's permission, they rewrote the script and
took those elements out.
