From: "Dave Maloney" <EGA98DJM-AT-sheffield.ac.uk> Date: Wed, 3 Jan 2001 12:42:42 -0000 Subject: Intelligent readings... I was interested to note intelligent readings of mainstream films in a recent posting, Locke in Harry met Sally etc... Is anybody aware of any web resources which offer intelligent readings of supposed no-brainer movies. I have examined the direct camera gaze in Wayne's World and Ferris Bueller, and sexual imagery / iconography in Ghostbusters. I'm looking for the brain behind no- brainers. Especially teenie movies like Wayne's, Ferris, Bill and Ted... Any help would be much appreciated... Cheers Dave By the way, for Hugh 1) Memento 2) Dancer in the Dark 3) O Brother Where Art Thou 1) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Always believe in your soul, You've got the power to know, You're indestructible. --- from list film-theory-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
