Hi Ron,

Do you think you could expand on this subject a bit? Are there any studies
into why movie goers are particularly attracted to horror films?

Thanks,
Matt

I know that I tend to focus on horror, but at the same time, horror is,
financially, the genre that let's studios make the more adventurous
movies. Horror sells, and it sells consistently. The CHILD'S PLAY series
and Chucky pretty much saved its studio from bankruptcy and financed
other less successful but adventurous films. So the way it seems to me
is that, as horror goes, so goes the rest of the business.
