Subject: Re: the birth of the factory?


p.s.,
   in case anyone is wondering, my search for a genealogy of the factory
for the purposes of teaching has nothing to do with the game I proposed.  I
wasn't trying to have others on the list put together a syllabus for me!
Just to lay any suspicious minds at rest.  I just thought it might be
interesting to try to gather a list of texts, occaisonal papers or essays
that step back and thinking critically about the list of institutions I
drew up.  I'm particularly interested in the intersection.  We have Virilio
of course; but I wonder if anyone out there in this crazy world has done a
study--or even thought a little and put a few words on paper--about the
intersection as a disciplinary space.
