The Preface to the English edition of The Order of Things is the most
obvious place I can think of off-hand. The Archaeology of Knowledge is
probably also worth a look.

(I aim to post something about Ereignis/Augenblick in the next couple of
days. I also owe Vunch a reply about the Letter on Humanism. Soon, i hope)
