Your question about eventualization is very interesting.  I have a vague
sense of Foucault's use of the term but can't locate the texts right now to
cope with the question.  Could you add more specifics to the question?  For
instance, why does it matter that people are now aware of something that is
nothing new?  Does a threshold of populational awareness effect an "event"?
I would really enjoy knowing more of your thoughts about the question.

Would it be fair to say that the decision to selectively assault Afganistan 
is a reaction that could be explained by eventualization?

Suddenly people are aware that there is a thing called terrorism.  It is 
nothing new.
