Its useful, though I'm beginning to think its rather generous to the latter who frequently seems to be privileged above the others. I seem to recall that Toril Moi has also written a good book on the context of Feminism in France: vastly different to the UK/US. THE KRISTEVA READER Ed T. Moi B & B publishers I think She is extremely difficult in places, but important in the field. NEW FRENCH FEMINISMS Eds Marks & de Courtivron Harvester & Wheatsheaf An anthology with lots of small essays and extracts. Very good for expanding the picture beyond the 3 writers mentioned above. If you are interested in FF's relation to film theory I recommend THE ACOUSTIC MIRROR; THE FEMALE VOICE IN PSYCHONANALYSIS & FILM THEORY Kaja Silverman Indiana? UP 1988 Best of luck Lynn J Turner University of Leeds ------------------
