Dear Tony,
I am teaching a course in the Fall called "Feminism in France"
and it will be cross-listed in Philosophy and French. Students who take
it for French credit will be reading the texts in French. Here's a list
of what we're doing:

1. de Beauvoir, Simone. _Le Deuxieme Sexe_ (selections from)
2. Irigaray, Luce. _Le Temps de la Difference_ (this is relatively easy
to read in French)
3. Cixous, Helene and Clement, Catherine. _La Jeune Nee_ (this is
difficult reading in French)
4. Irigaray, Luce. _Je, Tu, Nous_ (this is relatively easy to read in
French)

I think that if you start with these short essay texts by Irigaray in
French, you'll be able to work your way up to de Beauvoir and Cixous.
Gook luck!

Sincerely,
Kristin Switala
