Subject: Message from Cixous


Helene Cixous has sent a fax message to several of us in the United 
States, urging support for the Centre d'Etudes Feminines at Paris VIII.  
The central administration is threatening to cut off all funding because 
it views Women's Studies (and French Feminism) as not worthy of academic 
support.  

If anyone has the address/fax for Paris VIII, would you please post it to 
the list?  

And if you have time, would you please either send a fax or a letter 
expressing the importance of Women's Studies/French Feminism in the 
university?  

I'm sure Dr. Cixous would appreciate it!
