We have all come acorss this type of complaint before (with French Feminism, and let us not forget about the rage against yale deconstrcution in the past) : "it's all in-house. They're all just echoing [take you pick here ... Cixious, Kofman, Derrida, Lacan, De Man]" Fine. But let's try not confuse this kind of complaints (about the closure of a community, about the orthodox Lacanians or DeManians) with any actual critique of Lacan and De Man. Prior to any meaningful critique there has to be rigourous reading of the text in question. Everything is just "politics".
