Subject: gender, religion & psychoanalysis

Boy it's been quiet lately...

Maybe you folks can help me out. I'm beginning the search for a
senior thesis topic (will map out to a 40 or 50 page paper to be
defended in May) in Comp Lit. I read parts of Kristeva's _Powers of
Horror_ and Kelly Oliver's _Reading Kristeva_ over the summer and
am now on a Kristeva kick, but I need supplementary texts.

I know I want to talk about gender and religion (probably specifically
Christian) and psychoanalysis/psycholinguistics. Kristeva does manage
to combine all these-- talking about the Virgin Mary and motherhood
in Christianity. I'm not necessarily interested in that angle, though.
I am more interested in her focus on ethics.

I did start a book called _Fierce Tenderness_ by Mary Hunt that's
interesting (subtitled something like: a feminist theology of friendship).
Hunt talks about using women's friendships as an atomic model for a
new theology...

It would be interesting to catch places where "French Feminists" are
talking about religion.

Anyhow, I'm just tossing out stuff, hoping to come up with some leads
as to current thought on the subject (if this is even a subject).
Clear as mud? Any ideas?
