****PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO FRIENDS/COLLEAGUES****

If you are a women's studies/gender studies scholar (grad students,
independent scholars and members professions included,
of course) and/or activist and/or businessperson who will be visiting or
attending a conference in New Orleans during Spring/Summer 1997, the
staff of the Newcomb College Center for Research on Women at Tulane
University encourages you to contact us
about the possibility of giving a talk or otherwise presenting your
research, writings or art at the Center.

As a convention, conference and tourist hub, New Orleans weekly attracts
fascinating transient populations of scholars, activists, businesspeople,
artists, and professionals. This post is an attempt to attract some of
that flow in a way that will enhance the ongoing educations of New
Orleans' large student and faculty community, as well as that of her
feminist and other activist communities.

At the very least, we'll pay for your lunch or dinner and cabfare. Modest
honoraria are possible for advanced scholars.

All Center programs are free and open to the public.

Thanks.

Crystal Kile
