At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, there must be 4-5 members of the English
Dept. who actively use the works of French eminists.  (I'm sorry we're not in
the South).  This is not the mention the presence of Elaine Marks in the French
Dept. (who translated the first anthology in the field).  For example, works by
Irigaray, Cixous, and Clement were all required reading last semester in our
course on theory for incoming graduate students.
