Hello,

I am a subscriber to your list and have found it very informative and
useful. I am wondering if it would be kosher to post an announcement
about the magazine I edit, InterMountain WOMAN? We began as a
mostly-regional magazine about a year ago but are moving rapidly toward
a more national/international focus and would very much like to begin a
section about women's issues globally--so I write not to solicit
subscriptions, but submissions! The magazine is by and for women; it's
goal is to validate women's experience and empower women through
writing--we are VERY open to new voices. We print fiction, poetry &
essay as well as non-fiction and art; high-quality format, nationally
distributed--but poor as church mice and still paying in contributor
copies, though we'll change that as soon as we can. Interested parties
could of course visit our web site. Recent issues have featured women's
environmental activism and a piece on fair trade with third-world
countries--and we're looking for material for an upcoming story about
women who have fought to defend their children from incest & other abuse
in whatever way, either by being "on the run" or working to change
custody laws.
Thank you, and I do very much enjoy and appreciate your list.
