Dear Kathy and Judy,

In _Le Corps et le verbe_ (no English translation), Chawaf devotes three
sections (about 20 pages in all) to a critique of Christianity. Titles are:

IV. La Genese. Eve mere de tous les vivants.
V. L'Evangile selon saint Jean.
VII. "Ainsi la parole devient chair." Haine de la vie sur terre. La langue,
fils de Dieu. 

If you are interested in a brief summary, write me privately (unless this
interests others on the list) and I'll dig up my notes (next week or
later--I'm facing some big deadlines right now...).
