Ain't that the truth!  So what do you make of "prophetic (Christian)
Marxists" like the American Cornell West, over there?  West's "prophetic"
moniker seems to push the immanence that critical theory likes to claim for
itself in distinctly religious directions (especially in view of his
acknowledged faith in Jesus of Nazareth).  [Not that West is a critical
theorist, of course, though his project has similar commitments in view.]
