Subject: HAB: Critiques of 'Knowledge and Human Interests'?

This list has gone into a death-like silence lately - perhaps everyone's
exhausted (or has to catch up on their 'real work') after the excesses of
the past couple of weeks!

I'll have to be boring and ask a non-opinion question - sorry.

I'm involved in a discussion group, comprising mostly school teachers, here
at Curtin University which is discussing the technical, practical and
emancipatory interests as they apply to education and curriculum.

We were wondering if anyone knows of some fairly brief (10-20 page) papers
which critique the interests (either contemporary to the release of the
book or more recent, and either from a post-structuralist or other
perspectives). They would need to be in English, and at an appropriate
level of difficulty for some fairly high level teachers (but not
professional academics or philosophers). The critique should focus on the
interests, rather than on the history of philosophy or other facets of the
book. I know it's a pretty tall order, but it would be very valuable for
our group.

Thanks for your help with this, and somebody PLEASE start an interesting
discussion!

Regards,

David
