I don't know about Apel, and I am not quite sure I understand what
Antoine means by "appealing...," but it seems to me that Habermas is
neither reluctant nor apologetic in stating the close relationship
of his philosophical project to that of Kant.  It's just that the
relationship is a critical one, so that Habermas informs the reader
of his relationship to Kant primarily while he is distinguishing his
project from that of Kant.  See, for example, pages 21-25 of
Communication and the Evolution of Society.

But can we all get this Free Lance Academy? Is it accessed from the net or
is it a dial up BBS? 
My understanding was that those who are only subbed to the Hab list here
will only get Hab messages. Those of us subbed to F-S will get both.
Therefore there will not really be a need for another Hab list as F-S can
be avoided by those wanting Hab only.
The D button is also of great use for any subjects you aren't interested in.
