Habermas continue's to see much relevance in Marxist political-economic
prognoses but he doesn't believe that the market can be replaced by
planning due to problems of complexity. Democratically articulated popular
will must set boundary conditions upon market forces and beaucratic
mechanisms by way of a healthy public sphere and legitimate law.
