Benjamin is vast, but for an introductory contextualization I would recommend the standard histories of the FS, like Martin Jay's or the one by Rolf Wiggershaus. There is Habermas' famous essay on Benjamin, "Bewusstmachende oder Rettende Kritik" which is in his _Philosophical Discourse of Modernity_. Or: Eugene Lunn's _Marxism and Modernism_, David Held's book on critical theory (I can't remember how much he goes into WB), Russell Berman's _Modern Culture and Critical Theory_. THen most of these books have extensive bibliography as well. As I say, this is only the beginning. -Claudia
