New Habermas essay

In "Neue Zuerscher Zeitung" February 12. Habermas has written an essay on Hans-Georg Gadamer on the occasion of Gadamer's 100th birthday. Today Habermas also appeals for a new election in Hessen in Germany - together with a large number of other intellectuals and artists (Nobel price winner Guenter Grass et.al.). The reason for the appeal is a financial scandal, where the conservative party CDU illegally has received money to finance its election campaign. The intellectuals also recommend that the liberal party FDP leaves its coalition government with the CDU. "We must protect our constitutional state and our political culture" they say in the appeal.
