I only lurk.  Not being a professional philosopher, I delete messages
encrypted in language obscure to me.  If a thread becomes repetitive, and
especially if its discussants become impolite to each other, I simply delete
the whole thing. I like plainly-expressed, thoughtful comment.  I
particularly like to witness cooperative, constructive, creative comment.  I
make note of the List's citations to Habermas's writing and to the
publications of his critics.  The occasional bibliographies have especially
inspired my reading.  I really have liked the linking of comment on JH's
work to the works of Freud, Marx, etc.  I don't mind it, if the List is
occasionally silent while (I hope) philosophers are taking time to ruminate.
