By the way, 'defeasible' is also used by Analytical philosophy--I think it's used fairly commonly; in particular, it was a recent discussion in Analytical philosophy of mind, using 'defeasibility' (of one's certainty about one's own mental contents), that caused me to wonder yesterday about the relationship between 'fallibilism' and 'defeasibility'.
