My impression is that Haberma's thought still stay in an old ideal of world vision and society structure (maybe still in the time of 68er). Contrary the Chinese show a current and pragmatical view towards the society in the interview, no matter it is pessimistic or optimistic.
Wong
Gregersen schrieb:
New interview with Habermas.
In the new edition of the German weekly "Die Zeit" (10-05-01) you can read an interview with Habermas – made in China by Chinese intellectuals and artists. The topic is human rights and the modernisation process in China. Habermas has just finished a trip to China, where he made a number of lectures in Peking and Shanghai on human rights and democracy.
You can read the interview on:
http://www.zeit.de/2001/20/Politik/200120_habermas.html
Yours
Thomas

_________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
