I have read the interview among Habermas and the Chinese. My impression
is that Haberma's thought still stay in an old ideal of world vision and
society structure (maybe still in the time of 68er). Contrary the Chinese
show  a current and pragmatical view towards the society in the interview,
no matter it is pessimistic or optimistic.
