Just fwiw my reader's estimate concurs with Fred's. The enlightened ethos of discourse ethics seems as inapposite to the economics/power/libido that motivates the bourgeois liberal world, as Capuchin mysticism;...as likely as prayer to dialectically effect a normativization of eugenics, universal human rights, international social and criminal justice, ...nso on. Worse yet, it seems to affect a social-scientistic jargon, dissuading all but specialists, academics; and therefore, not even to co-incide with the class, the "philosophical" community, of its fundamental confession.
