Why would you do that, rather than starting a constructive
thread? Thoughtful participation is welcomed.

To whom are you referring by "here"? It's an unmoderated
communication "community". (The distinction between
ingenuine and genuine is sometimes demonstrated.) But, if
you call others jackasses, you make your name stand for a
lack of credibility (and, for my part, you'll be filtered
out and ignored, if you think your own rude annoyance
toward others is a good reason for being read. I'm not
annoyed by those who are annoyed; I just tune them out).

Listserv ethocs is only as good as participant abilities to
make meaning. Ignoring persons you don't like is good
practice. Making better meaning is good practice.

Good question. Care to make a compelling example for
focusing on JH's work?

Don't over interpret the freedom of others to speak without
complaint; the silence of other subscribers is not
necessarily consent. For example, I don't even receive any
of Mr. Sheetz's postings (thanks to email filters). And I
delete all responses to hm, too, as soon as it's clear that
it's a response to him. Free speech includes freedom to
close the door.

Gee, you sound like a fringe element, too (even though you
use 'inter alia'). Hope I'm wrong.

Gary
